Having Graduated from the Buckinghamshire University College in 1996, Jayne worked for many glassmakers around the country, before setting up her own studio - ‘Super Cool Liquid Glass Studio, on the edge of the Lake District in 2003. She is currently looking to for a new studio space which will give her more freedom to expand her ideas and work with other people.
Her work is varied and ranges from small and gift items such as paperweights and perfume bottles to larger and more complicated items, whether for exhibition, personal commissions, commemorative pieces, corporate gifts or trophies.
For Jayne, the real joy is working with the molten glass. She loves the way fluid glass moves, which can be caught mid motion, and frozen into shape. Also it’s ability to stick to itself allowing so many possibilities for adding components and creating pieces made from several sections.
